临期食品，通常指即将到达保质期，且未超过保质期的预包装食品。临期食品仍在保质期内，可以放心购买和食用，不过不要因为折扣和低价大量购买临期食品，以免短时间内吃不完导致食品过期、变质造成浪费。购买后，要在保质期内尽快食用，食用时发现食品出现异味、口感异常时，切勿继续食用。
