2024年7月8日，新区发展和财政局组织专家开展《南澳河水质提升工程可行性研究报告》评审工作，邀请给排水及造价等方面的三位专家组成专家组对项目进行评审。 可研报告提出，本工程位于南澳街道，主要对工程范围内前期未实施雨污分流改造的各类建筑进行排水整改、排污口整治、管网完善等，涉及街道小区及城中村雨污分流整改17个共179栋、市政管网完善12处、混流口整治12处。新区发展和财政局及专家组向项目建设单位及编制单位充分了解基本情况后，认为项目提出的建设内容基本合理，但应在下一阶段工作中补充完善部分建设内容。 南澳河水质提升工程的实施建设，将有利于解决区域内错接乱排、混流入河等情况，实现排水管网的雨污分流，达到正本清源的目的，对片区水环境起到良好的保护作用。
