1月4日，深圳地铁6号线支线二期光明城站-华夏站区间（以下简称“光华区间”）左线已于近日顺利贯通。 6号线支线二期（南延）工程起自6号线支线一期工程光明站（原翠湖站），终至光明城站，线路全长约4.944公里，设有光明小镇、华夏、光明城共3个站点。线路预计2025年建成，通车后将与13号线、18号线、莞深城际、广深港高铁、赣深高铁实现换乘。该地铁沿线有着高度集聚的创新要素，科学载体集中度显示度非常高，目前已布局光明生命科学园、中山大学深圳校区、深圳理工大学（筹）、深圳科技馆（新馆）、深圳市工程生物产业创新中心、光明云谷等。（来源：深圳特区报）
