13号线一期(北段) 可实现与多线路换乘，将有利于缓解中西部地区南北向交通压力。全线开通后，光明科学城到深圳湾口岸45分钟直达 5号线西延段 串联罗湖最繁华核心片区和三大热门商圈，东门站可实现“出站即商场” 8号线三期 大鹏新区首条轨道交通，开通后将与既有2、8号线区段贯通运营，形成一条横贯南山、福田、罗湖、盐田和大鹏新区的轨道交通骨干线路 11号线二期(红岭南段) 补齐罗湖中心区快线覆盖的不足，与14号线实现贯通，城市主次中心60分钟可达（来源：南方都市报）
