Notice on Ceasing Issuance of Micro Car License Plates and Strengthening Management of Micro Cars
关于停止核发微型小汽车牌证和对微型小汽车加强管理的通告
This notice prohibits the issuance of new license plates for micro cars (engine displacement ≤1000cc) within Guangzhou's administrative region to alleviate traffic congestion and improve urban air quality, and restricts existing micro cars to designated road sections.

穗府〔2001〕39号关于停止核发微型小汽车牌证和对微型小汽车加强管理的通告 为缓解本市市区道路的交通紧张状况，进一步改善市区大气环境，现就微型小汽车管理的有关事项通告如下： 一、本通告所称微型小汽车，是指发动机气缸总排量为1000CC以下(含1000CC)的汽车。 二、在本市行政区域内不再核发微型小汽车牌证。 三、已经领取号牌的微型小汽车应当在市公安交通管理部门划定的路段行驶。违者，按道路交通管理的有关规定处罚。 四、本通告由市公安部门组织实施。 五、本通告自公布之日起施行。广州市人民政府二○○一年七月三十一日
