23日下午，市政协七届二次会议举行选举大会，选举政协第七届揭阳市委员会常务委员会部分组成人员。市政协主席崔建军，市政协副主席袁文键、陈奇春、吴少珍、江少明、陈锐彬、林春霖、柯东风和秘书长李丽曼等出席会议。会议由袁文键主持。 本次大会应出席委员340人，实到317人，符合规定人数。大会以无记名投票方式，增选黄宇生、谢敏等2位同志为政协第七届揭阳市委员会常务委员。
