2018年4月18日，李勇主任主持召开新区管委会二〇一八年第八次常务会议。 会议审议并原则通过《关于提请审议<大鹏新区突发性地质灾害应急预案>（送审稿）的请示》（以下简称《应急预案》）。会议认为，突发性地质灾害防治是一项涉及新区安全稳定的中长期工作，应引起各级各有关单位的高度重视。会议要求，《应急预案》应纳入新区总体预案，充分与各有关应急预案进行衔接，建立起应对快捷、程序科学的应急体系。 会议还审议了其他事项。
