环境空气质量评价以大鹏新区葵涌和南澳2个国控空气自动站的监测结果为基础，评价标准采用《环境空气质量标准》（GB 3095-2012），监测数据采用实际状态下的浓度。空气质量优良天数采用AQI进行统计。 2021年第二季度新区空气质量综合指数Isum=2.02，排名全市第一， PM2.5平均浓度为10μg\/m³。以空气质量指数（AQI）评价新区空气质量，空气质量优良率为97.8%。 二氧化硫、二氧化氮、可吸入颗粒物、细颗粒物、臭氧和一氧化碳6项污染物指标中，影响新区空气质量的主要指标是臭氧、可吸入颗粒物、细颗粒物和二氧化氮。
