This announcement renames COVID-19 as 'novel coronavirus infection' and, effective January 8, 2023, downgrades its management from Class A infectious disease measures under the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law, removing it from quarantine infectious disease management under the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law.
