This announcement confirms that the Protocol amending the China-India double taxation avoidance agreement has entered into force on June 5, 2019, and specifies its effective dates for application in China (from January 1, 2020) and India (from April 1, 2020).

《关于修订1994年7月18日在新德里签署的〈中华人民共和国政府和印度共和国政府关于对所得避免双重征税和防止偷漏税的协定〉及议定书的议定书》（以下简称《议定书》）于2018年11月26日在新德里正式签署。中印双方已完成《议定书》生效所必需的各自国内法律程序。《议定书》于2019年6月5日生效，在中国适用于2020年1月1日或以后开始的纳税年度中取得的所得，在印度适用于2020年4月1日或以后开始的财政年度中取得的所得。　　《议定书》文本已在国家税务总局网站发布。　　特此公告。<br> 国家税务总局2019年7月9日
