Announcement of the Ministry of Finance, State Administration of Taxation, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the First Batch of Vehicle Models Eligible for Reduced or Exempted Vehicle and Vessel Tax for Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicles

This document announces the first batch of vehicle models eligible for reduced or exempted vehicle and vessel tax to promote energy conservation and new energy vehicles. Starting January 1, 2012, energy-saving vehicles receive a 50% tax reduction, while new energy vehicles are fully exempted.
