This notice informs tax authorities that the double taxation avoidance agreement between China and South Africa, signed on April 25, 2000, has entered into force on January 7, 2001, and will be implemented from January 1, 2002.

各省、自治区、直辖市和计划单列市国家税务局、地方税务局：<br> 我国政府和南非共和国政府于2000年4月25日在比勒陀利亚签订的关于对所得避免双重征税的协定，业经南非和我国外交部分别于2000年11月30日和2000年12月8曰互致照会，确认已完成该协定生效的法律程序。根据该协定第二十八条的规定，协定应自2001年1月7日起生效，自2002年1月1日起执行。上述协定的文本，我局已于2000年5月17日以国税函[2000]323号文印发给你们，请依照执行。
