Official Reply of the State Council on Approving the Application for Registration of International Seabed Mining Areas

This document approves China's application to register international seabed mining areas with the United Nations Preparatory Commission for the International Seabed Authority under the name of the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association, and designates the exploration and development of polymetallic nodules as a long-term national project with dedicated investment.
